Description

Formaldehyde is a strong smelling, colorless gas. While most well-known as a preservative in the embalming process it is an essential building block chemical in the production of hundreds of items. Little to no formaldehyde remains in the final products that consumers use.

Formaldehyde is naturally present in the human body and is quickly broken down by the body’s natural metabolic processes. Studies show that it does not accumulate in the body. Uses of formaldehyde are effectively regulated and government oversight has been extensive.
