Description

Difluoroethane is a synthetic colorless and odorless gas which is used as a refrigerant or liquefied compressed propellant.

DANGER: Difluoroethane is an extremely flammable gas and is contained as gas under pressure. It may explode if heated. Difluoroethane may be hazardous in case of accidental exposure to high vapor concentrations. If inhaled it can act as an asphyxiant and cause headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, passing out, or even death at high levels. The vapors can affect the heartbeat. Contact with liquid difluoroethane can cause frostbite. It may emit toxic fumes when involved in a fire. Difluoroethane is not considered a carcinogen.
