Description

D-Limonene is a compound extracted from the peels of citrus fruits, including oranges, mandarins, limes, and grapefruit. It is known for having a very fragrant citrus smell, which makes it a good addition to cleaning products. It is a natural antioxidant, also antifungal and antimicrobial, and can dissolve and break down cholesterol and fats. There have been very positive results in helping with weight loss, digestive problems, cardiovascular health, anxiety, insomnia, and with anti-cancer fighting treatments.

Aside from possible skin irritation associated with direct application, D-limonene is likely safe for most people to use and consume in moderation.
