Description

N-butane is a pure form of butane, a hydrocarbon that is obtained from natural gas or by refining petroleum. N-Butane is a colorless, highly flammable gas. It can be liquified at room temperature by compression. Butane is a good replacement to chlorofluorocarbons, which deplete the ozone layer, making it an environmentally friendly alternative propellant for aerosols.

DANGER: N-butane is an extremely flammable gas and contains gas under pressure that may explode if heated. It may form explosive mixtures with air. N-butane may displace oxygen and cause rapid suffocation. It may cause frostbite.
